A little Background

Here we are at the Natural Bridge, in Virginia.  Darling Hubby (DH) didn't know it then, but I was thinking about being a homesteader one day.

This is me.  A much younger me.  At the time this picture was taken, I was completely clueless about my future.  Now, I am happily married, have 3 great kids, and I am looking forward to growing my homestead the next few years.

These would be my darling children. They are in on the plans to make our homestead.  They pretty much talked me into the chickens.  Between them, and my DH, who just wants the eggs, somehow I was convinced.

This is one of my loves, which fits right in with the homesteading...  This is actually my daughter's first sewing machine.  Mine is white, and a bit more complicated.  But I still love this one, especially the color.

Here are a few of my projects from over the years:
A zipper bag with a handle.
 A Chair cover
I also make soap, that could definitely go with homesteading.  Can't wait to get that goat!!!
A Baby blanket and taggie blanket set.  I make these as gifts.  This was my favorite one.
Shows- Sometimes, I will prepare for months ahead of time making all kinds of things, and I sell them at music festivals, arts festivals, local festivals, all kinds of festivals...

Well,  That's all for today.  I'll go over the chicken fiasco with you next time.  The chicken is fine, but it was a fiasco.
